Paintball: Almost Worth It

Well, the fun started when I tried going to bed at one and didn't fall asleep until 4-4:30 after some pain killers to kill my headache.

7:30am - Elliot gives my room a call and I try to answer my alarm clock. Chris came and knocked on my door a few minutes later do make sure I woke up.

8:00am - Leave for Action Packed Paintball from RWJ

(Time meant nothing to me after that so no more time entries.)

We get there and do all the standard stuff, check-in, sign a waver, orientation...

First map round one: I fallow the gang (Jon, Elliot, Chris, and myself). I got shoot a few minutes in. (Somehow we managed to win)

(0/1)

Round Two: I setup a defensive position with Jon. I manage to shoot someone in the face but his buddies avenged him shortly later.

Anyway, I can't remember very much after that so hope that Jon posts more details on the other regular maps.

Speedball: The rules of Speedball at this place is that there are no outs, just shoot to get rid of your leftover ammo.

Shortly into the map I realize, I want a star, and this is the only real chance I have at getting one...

So, I make a dash for the enemy flag. On the way to the flag I managed to lay some cover fire for myself, but soon realize I was just slowing myself down. About ten feet to the flag the barrage started. The general consensus was that everybody but like 3 people unloaded a third of there hoppers in my. I figure I took at least one hundred direct hits and god knows how many unbroken balls.

Know, something you need to know about this place is that they put the flags on flag poles.

Most of the hits I took where during this time (estimated at 10-20 seconds). The good news is that the body goes numb after so much pain.

As I ran away I fell down 3 times. This may have been a good thing since the ensuing fire from my flank was still coming. This also gave me time to remember that I had teammates. I was yelling "I NEED COVER" and after my second fall Chris comes to my rescue. I fell again because the my legs just couldn't take the constant running through 2-3 ft high grass.

I almost got the flag back to our base before the end of the round. Twenty more feet.

After the game I was on my way to hand in my equipment and they gave me a pin for my valiant effort.

It was almost worth it.

Welt Count:
Right Arm: 5
Left Arm: 4
Torso: 6
Back: 12
Right Leg: 3 Twisted ankle from an earlier match.
Left Leg: 3
Butt: Lets just say I need to put my wallet in a different pocket for awhile.
